Our Story

About Try Jesus

Equipping everyday believers to live and share the ministry of Jesus.

Rooted in Service

For more than 15 years, The Salt Foundation has been serving people experiencing poverty, disability, social isolation, hardship, and disadvantage within some of our most marginalised communities. Through this work, we have seen firsthand both the challenges people face and the transforming power of faith expressed through practical acts of love, compassion, and justice.

Out of this experience, The Salt Foundation created Try Jesus as a disciple-making tool to equip everyday believers to live and share the ministry of Jesus. We believe that true discipleship is more than personal spiritual growth. It empowers people to care for the poor, feed the hungry, support people living with disability, relieve suffering, challenge injustice, and bring hope to the oppressed.

Making disciples who make disciples, while helping to break the chains of injustice, relieve suffering, and bring the love of Jesus to those who need it most.

Our Vision
