Faithful to the end — and beyond
Every tool in Try Jesus has been building toward this moment. You have learned to see your mission field, share your testimony, open the Word with others, and gather a community. Now comes the question that defines a disciple-making movement: will what you have received stop with you, or will it multiply?
Jesus did not simply teach crowds — he poured himself into a small group of people who would pour themselves into others. Paul did the same with Timothy, and Timothy was charged to do the same again. This is the pattern of multiplication: not addition, but exponential growth through faithful reproduction.
Tool 10 is the simplest and most demanding of all the tools. It asks you to give away everything you have received — the tools, the rhythms, the relationships — so that the movement does not depend on you, but on the Spirit working through many.
Tool 10 helps you
Embrace the mustard-seed principle — trust that small, faithful acts of obedience can grow into something far beyond what you can see or plan.
Become a CO2 — a Carbon Copy — by reproducing in others exactly what you have received, passing the tools on faithfully rather than improving or gatekeeping them.
Measure success not by how many people you personally reach, but by how many disciple-makers you release to reach others.
Why multiplication matters
Addition grows a ministry. Multiplication grows a movement. A single disciple who adds ten people to a group has done something good. A single disciple who raises up ten disciple-makers — each of whom raises up ten more — has done something that cannot be stopped.
The early church did not spread because of one gifted leader. It spread because ordinary people, filled with the Spirit, passed on what they had received to others who passed it on again. That same pattern is available to every believer in every generation — including yours.
You are not the destination. You are a link in a chain that stretches further than you can see.
Group exercise — plant and release
Name your mustard seed
Each person identifies the smallest faithful step they can take this week to invest in someone else's growth — a conversation, a shared tool, an invitation to read the Word together.
Identify your Timothy
Who in your life is showing signs of hunger — someone who is asking questions, responding to the Word, or beginning to reach out to others? Name them. Pray for them. Begin to pour into them intentionally.
Pass on a tool
Choose one tool from Try Jesus and teach it to someone outside this group before the next gathering. Do not summarise it — demonstrate it. Let them experience it the way you did.
Become a CO2
Commit to reproducing what you have received without adding to it or subtracting from it. The power is in the simplicity. A tool that can be passed on unchanged is a tool that can travel anywhere.
Pray for the harvest
Close by praying together for the people your Timothy will reach, and the people they will reach after that. Ask God to make you a link in a chain of multiplication that outlasts your own lifetime.
You have reached the end of the tools. Now go and multiply.
